- Adjust, calibrate and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature, and general operation.
- Examine visually, weigh and measure components created from equipment at the end of the week to ensure machines are producing according to company and industry regulations and standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Work with team members, shift supervisors, and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.
- Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions, and take care of them as they come up.
- Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses, and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment on a bimonthly basis.
- Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken, or worn-out components.
- Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.
- Worked independently and multi-task
Job Skills Qualifications
Required:
- At least Four years of experience in a production workspace.
- Technical Diploma or its equivalent
- Able to read measurements.

- Well-organized and history of showing initiative
Knowledge of current OSHA safety rules and regulations

Measured and examined extruded products in order to locate defects, and to check for conformance to specifications; adjusted controls as necessary to alter products. Determined setup procedures and selected machine dies and parts, according to specifications. Adjusted controls to draw or press metal into specified shapes and diameters. Installed dies, machine screws, and sizing rings on machines that extrude metal materials. Changed dies on extruding machines according to production line changes. Started machines and set controls to regulate vacuum, air pressure, sizing rings, and temperature, and to synchronize the speed of extrusion. Maintained dies (selecting, preparing, washing, storing) and perform additional die room duties (preparing ingredient hoppers, recording ingredient usage, proper disposal of containers) in the absence of the die room attendant.
