Responsibilities:

Northern Trust is looking for an experienced Technical Data Analyst Data Modeler responsible for enhancing and supporting Credit Risk Warehouse. The role will require working with current application development team to drive superior business value, enhanced customer experience and compliance with NT standards. Day to day responsibilities include:

• Analyze data profiles including data flow, data quality, historic data retention, and data context with business partners to ensure data element is appropriate for the business requirement.
• Analyze and fully verse on system s data lineage from source to sink, and associated data processes design and operational setup.
• Build data models and mappings based on requirements of applications
• Maintain all data model, mappings, data lineage and data profile information up to date via latest documentation platform.
• Design new/enhancements or changes to data processing to improve stability, capability, and performance.
• Familiar with microservice architecture and KISS design principle for data processing and maintenance.
• Maintain and cross train L1/L2 support on data model, mappings, transformation, translation, and transfer processes.
• Perform regular data analysis and profiling to adhere to processes as required by Data Governance
• Perform data audits as required.
• L3 on-call support on rotational basis.
• Working with global teams on flexible work hours across projects and issue resolutions.
• Hands-on experience estimating data oriented projects, including new data feeds, data quality monitoring, data transformation and translation, etc.

Primary Skills:

• A College or University degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing Star Schema, Galaxy, Snowflake
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data profiling and data modelling.
• Hands on experience in writing complex sqls
• Prior experience in Machine Learning is a plus.
